Owing to a long list of people waiting to join the Monday Painting Group, Audrey Lawrie arranged to start a new group to meet on Thursdays. Sixteen people were invited to form the group on October 27, 2005 with a plan to take in another 10 from the waiting list in February 2006. Happily the members soon felt comfortable in pursuing their interests in varied mixed media. As several were already accomplished artists, there was always available a friendly exchange of ideas and critique of the work in progress. The group has held three exhibitions open to the community and has participated in all Craft Cottage events to celebrate the fortieth birthday in 2007. We are proud to report that our membership continues to grow while retaining its friendly atmosphere. Several members have taken an active leadership role in the Association and continue to do so. Some achieve success in Regional exhibitions with a first or highly commended placement The Mixed & Multi Media Art (MMM) group meets every Thursday Afternoon & Monday Evening.
